Block Education Officer BEO:

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of Uttar Pradesh. This post of BEO is a prestigious post at the block level.Through this level, the entire outline of work between education administration and school is decided. The person who gets the post of block education officer is the officer to check all the teachers, principals, primary and junior high school under his / her block. Along with this, if he gets deficiency in the investigation, it tries to get it rectified. Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission release the BEO exam. Eligibility Criteria for BEO:

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed) from Govt. Recognized University.
• OR LT Diploma from Govt. Training College.
• The candidate shall be given preference who (1) Has served for a minimum period of two years in Territorial Army or (2) Has obtained "B" certificate of N.C.C.

Age Limit:

• For physically challenged candidates, the upper age limit is 55 years.

Selection Process for UPPSC BEO:

There will be a total 2 phases for the selection of UPPSC BEO. The selection process for UPPSC BEO is as fellow:

UPPSC BEO Exam Pattern:

• Type of questions: The UPPSC BEO Prelims exam will be conducted in Objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) format
• Total No of questions: A total of 120 MCQs will be asked from General Studies
• Total marks: The exam will be of 300 marks; each question is of 2.5 marks
• Duration: Candidates need to attempt the exam in a duration of 2 hours
• Marking Scheme: There is negative marking for wrong answers of 0.33 marks.
• Language of exam: The question paper will be set in Bilingual language – Hindi & English

UPPSC BEO: Mains Exam Pattern

• Type of exam: UPPSC BEO Mains exam is descriptive in nature
• No of papers: In UPPSC BEO Mains, there will be two compulsory papers – General Studies & General Hindi
• Total marks: Each Paper is of 200 Marks
• Duration: Each Paper is of 3 Hours duration
• In Hindi Essay section, candidates will have to write two essays and each essay should be of minimum 700 words
